School’s In – How is Your School Doing?

by | Sep 9, 2025 | Community, Soul

The initial back-to-school energy has settled, and a new, more steady rhythm has emerged in our hallways.
Teachers are settling into routines, students are navigating new expectations, and for many—especially those placed in electives “just to earn the credit” we hear they are not willing to do the assigned work, engagement is already slipping.

This is the moment to check the pulse. Perhaps gather some feedback from what the students say, to how you can foster learning in micro lessons the students are interested in.

At Purposeful Concepts, LLC, we specialize in helping educators re-engage students who feel disconnected from learning. Through custom lesson plans and microlearning strategies, we help teachers turn reluctant learners into curious participants—especially in electives where students often say, “I didn’t choose this class.”

Though International Youth Day (August 12th) has passed, its 2025 theme—“Youth Localizing the SDGs and Beyond”—remains relevant. Our youth are still navigating a world full of distractions, inequities, and missed connections between academic content and real life. SDGs like Quality Education and Reduced Inequalities aren’t just global goals—they’re classroom goals.

When we realize life is a classroom, we understand classroom goals aren’t just academic—they’re foundational to our future. What happens in the classroom doesn’t stay there. When students who want to learn are constantly disrupted by peers who feel disengaged or defeated, the ripple effect is real. That unrest doesn’t end when the bell rings—it spills into our communities, our workforce, our businesses, and our families.
In just a few years, today’s classroom dynamics will shape tomorrow’s job sites, customer interactions, and civic spaces. Unaddressed educational gaps and behavioral disruptions now can lead to cycles of frustration, underemployment, and community strain later.

What Can You Do Now? Whether you’re a parent, professional, business, or community member, your support still matters:

  • Check in with your local school or rec center: What do they need now?
  • Donate supplies, hygiene items, or gift cards for students.
  • Volunteer your expertise—guest speaking, mentoring, or leading a hands-on activity.
  • Repurpose sensory tools or learning aids your child has outgrown. Many schools lack the budget for classroom tools that help students on the spectrum engage.

Let’s not wait for another awareness day. Let’s respond to what students are telling us today. Why…because #EducationMatters

At Purposeful Concepts, we believe youth are the canvas for tomorrow’s masterpiece. Let’s keep checking in, showing up, and painting a future worth celebrating.

Facilities and LTC

See how your facility will compare with other nursing homes!

Long Term Care – The Skilled Nursing Facility Value-Based Purchasing Program (SNF VBP)

Just as LTC learned where and how to access information and tools, CMS retired the site in Dec. 2020.  The new site, walks the user through the steps in retrieving data sets for specific data collection periods.

It’s handy to have tools! Visit our Education and Tools section or let us know how we can help!

As a Long-Term Care Facility (LTC) or Nursing Home

  • CMS mandates are aligned to performance indicators related to the Healthcare Reform Act. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is a federal agency within the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) that administers the Medicare program and works in partnership with state governments to administer Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance (CHIP), and health insurance portability standards.
  • Are you a Nursing Home or a facility that has beds for Rehab patients? Purposeful Concepts LLC offers the right level of leadership to guide your team with “role-based” strategies to best understand desired performance outcomes and pinpoint the change in a workflow that can make the difference. With LTC facilities now facing CMS mandates from both a federal and state standards align with components of care which are listed on a “LTC-Rule Job Aid” with measures or “F-tag” focus areas. CMS F-tags are used by each state department of Health and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to survey quality of care provided to residents in facilities.  We have a custom tool available that correlates to the current available F-tags that focus on the survey process.  Join us, we offer different levels of service to best fit the needs of your facility.
